Capoeiracre Floreios Sampler - Flippin '05
Gees! Has it really been a year since the last "Flippin" video?! So much has happened in 2005 but here are some of the highlights from our recent flipping at Bondi and Coogee beaches this spring/summer. Looking at it, this seems to be the "Max and Gana sampler", as for some reason I have very little footage of the other guys and gals. Shame, but no matter... the beach is too wonderful to start worrying about things like that. Enjoy!
(Again for some reason my MPEG encoder is playing up so this sampler is in WMV format).

Capoeiracre - Brasil 2005 Sampler!
This is it! This is the sampler that highlights the trip that Professor Borracha and 15 of his students took to Brazil in early 2005. While it does not include any acrobatics footage from Rio Branco-Acre, or any Grupo Capoeiracre rodas (that is for another sampler coming soon), what this sampler does include is still 110% amazing (the extra 10% is Ivete singing in the background - LOL)!
Opening with a snapshot of Carnaval in Salvador (the Ivete Sangalo bloco), this sampler takes us to the Amazon Jungle, Morro De São Paulo, Salvador, Rio Branco, São Paulo and Belo Horizonte!
The guys on screen are a mixture of Grupo Capoeiracre, Grupo Bantus Capoeira, and Grupo Cordão De Ouro.
In Belo Horizonte we have Instrutor Zoi, Instrutor Camaleão, Juninho and Perereca from Grupo Bantus Capoeira. Instrutor Zoi actually teaches in Netherlands and Instrutor Camaleão teaches in Germany but we were lucky enough to be in Belo Horizonte when they were both home in Brasil. You can check out all the Bantus Capoeira websites from around the world at: http://www.bantus.asn.au/mundo/
In São Paulo we have Contra-Mestre Kibe, Contra-Mestre Chicote and others in an awesome Grupo Cordão De Ouro roda with Mestre Suassuna at the Berimbau. You can check out the Grupo Cordão De Ouro website at: http://www.grupocordaodeouro.com.br/
The rest of the footage is made up of the ever-faithful Professor Borracha, Instrutor Sonhador, Instrutor Roseiro, Maxwell, Dino and Aranha doing general tom-foolery in the Amazon, acrobatics in Morro De São Paulo and Belo Horizonte, and flipping in Salvador (Barra) before our Carnaval Trios started (just wash your hands after touching the floor - trust me!). The finale is Instrutor Sonhador playing Miudinho on the balcony of our apartment in Salvador (with the beautiful Baia de Todos os Santos in the background).
Another sampler will be coming soon of the Capoeriacre Rodas - so stay tuned...
And in case you didn't know, a sampler of the Grupo Capoeiracre Foundation Batizado held in Rio Branco, Brazil on 29 Janeiro 2005 has been uploaded to Capoeiracre.com - Click Here

Capoeiracre - Brasil 2005 Sawdust Sampler!
Well here is the sampler of our floreios in the ever-famous sawdust. This isn't the original sawdust where Professor Borracha learnt his double-mortal (that site has since been developed), but it was still a great time flipping and experiencing the sort of surface that the guys from Capoeiracre in Brazil learn acrobactics on (no beaches in Acre!). Many thanks to Donga and Professor Geb for taking us to the sawdust. As for my big crash as the end while attempting a mortal-rodado... well i think it is pretty self-explanatory! LOL.

Capoeiracre Floreios Sampler - Flippin '04 Take 2!
Flippin '04 Take2! Alrighty! This sampler has it all... clips from the peak of Mt Blue Cow in the Australian Snowy Mountains, to sunny Cottesloe Beach in Perth, to our fav locals of Pyrmont Park, Manly Beach and Epping YMCA in Sydney.
Special guest appearances from Dino in Brasil, Soldado in Germany and my darling bro almost stacking on his head make this a memorable 3 minutes. Enjoy!!!

Grupo Capoeira Brasil Floreios Sampler
Flippin '04! This is a sampler of acrobatics footage taken over January-April 2004 and was a really satisfying sampler for me to make as a number of us have picked up some great new moves over this period. From my Folha Secca (I have finally got it!!!!) 13-backflips and split-leg mortals to Pizza's backflips, Gana's many sick combos, Dino's split-leg mortals, Roseiro's "follow-through" split-leg mortals and Sonhador's Folha Seccas, everyone has improved over this period. Ninja's presence in Sydney for a couple of weeks before flying off to Japan and Teacher Borracha's Friday night acrobatics course have help no-end in the improvement of many individuals. Truly, whether it is Capoeira in a hall or the gang down on the beach (which was every weekend!), everyone has fun!
Enjoy!!!

Under the sea! A fun little sampler I made one day when I was bored.

Flippin '03! This is a sampler of footage taken over October and November 2003, shot in locations around Sydney and Brisbane. There it contains awesome footage of Professor Borracha, Professor Cachaça (of Grupo Porto Da Barra - who joined us on a lovely day at Pyrmont Park), Instrutor Sonhador and Roseiro and many other capoeiristas. It was a lot of fun to make and I hope you all enjoy watching it!
Morena, do something!!!

Bilang Sampler! This video is a compilation of the best of my acrobatics/floreios videos up until June 2003 that I have collected of some of the talented members of our group. This is the sampler of our entire group that was posted on the hugely popular Martial Arts Trickz website (www.bilang.com) - Yay!

Professor Borracha's Double-Mortal
From stories I have heard, Professor Borracha is reknowned around Brasil as the first Capoeirista to be able to perform a double-mortal (two rotations in the air). I have had MANY MANY requests to post a video of his double-mortal and so here it is! This is just one occasion of Professor Borracha pulling-off the double-mortal on hard ground! An interseting thing to note is that Borracha never learnt in gymnastics halls with large and comfy mats - everything was learnt on dirt and sawdust! Crazy!
